Theatre Production

Students interested in learning about the backstage technical elements of theatre, including stage management, lighting, sound, costumes, make-up, and set design/construction, can choose to take Theatre Production 11/12  or Stagecraft 8-12.

Theatre Production runs on the timetable simultaneouly with the Theatre Performances classes. Students will have the opportunity to develop their technical skills and apply them during class scenes and the one-act play festival at the end of the semester. Students in Theatre Production must be self-motivated and willing to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

Stagecraft is an off-timetable course that runs every Wednesday from 2:40-5:00. These students help to design and construct the set for our annual musical producitons. They will also take on a variety of backstage roles during the shows, including Stage Manager, Lighting and Sound Operator, or Running Crew. Please contact Mr. Loewen at wloewen@sd35.bc.ca for more information about this course.
